Membership Requirements
Membership in this organization will not be restricted on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, sex or age.
All active members must be currently enrolled GMU students with a minimum academic achievement record defined as a cumulative grade point average of at
least a 2.0.
There are no membership dues or fees, all that's required is a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to help!
Members must earn a minimum of 10 points per year to be active. Points will be earned by participating in meetings, presentations, and club events.
Only active members may vote on matters (official or not) including amendments, elections, and other motions brought forth in meetings.
Membership privileges may be revoked should the student member fall below a cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
Officer Requirements
Officers shall have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Officers must earn a minimum of 20 points and be an active member for at least one semester.
Officers shall be elected by vote of at least three-fourths of the student membership at a regular meeting.
Officer positions shall consist of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and SI Liason.
The President shall ensure duties are evenly dispersed amongst officers and shall take turns chairing meetings with the other officers. In addition, the President should oversee events/meetings.
The Vice President is the President's right-hand. They should fill in for the President when the President is absent. In addition, they should take turns chairing meetings with the other officers.
The Secretary is in charge of keeping track of current members points. They should also take turns chairing meetings with the other officers.
The Treasurer shall keep detailed records of all transactions made by the club/for the club. They may also take turns chairing meetings.
The SI Liason will talk with SI of matters concerning the club and report back to other officers. They may also take turns chairing meetings.
